Alrighty, here's my list...hope y'all are ready for it!

Snakes

Lampropeltis zonata (sub species unknown)

Crotalus atrox

Lizards

Sauromalus ater

Phrynosoma platyrhinos calidiarum

That's it! Haha, it's a start. A slow start, but one non-the-less. It just means more for me to find later. I've seen Crotalus atrox as a kid, she was basking on the road, and one of the Cerastes group, but I'm not sure if it was C. cerastes cerastes or C. cerastes laterorepens. My dad caught that one when I was a kid. I've also seen a king snake, just not sure what sub species; my dad caught that one during the same time frame. He wasn't a herper, we just found those two snakes in our garage when we lived in 29 palms.

I'm impressed with you long-listers out there. It gives me hope

If the king was black and white and was in CA, it would be Lampropeltis getula californiae. California kingsnake. If you can tell us where your sidewinder and zonata were at, I, or someone else here can tell you what subspecies it would be.

No - visited Monterey Bay a few times as a kid, and got to make one good salamander trip to NoCal last December and a couple short stops on the way back from my sister's last week. I would love to herp up there more, but I really can only do it as a side part of other activities. I really, really want to flip sharp-tailed snakes and rubber boas, and to see torrent salamanders, California red-legged frogs, foothill yellow-legged frogs, and lots of other stuff too.

Otherwise I still have a lot of stuff to add.

If we are adding stuff seen outside CA, I can add Wandering Garter to mine (seen in Colorado) - but I think I'll just leave mine as seen in California.
I've also seen Eastern Snapping Turtles and Diamondback Watersnakes outside of CA, for example.

I don't think Diamondback Watersnakes are found in California - we have a lake down here that's full of Southern Water Snakes, and there are a couple spots with Northern Water Snakes, and I think that's it.

Mentioning snappers made me look and realize that I have seen TEN kinds of turtles in Cali now. Guess how many were native?

Re Diamondback Watersnakes

There was a breeding population at a reservoir in Contra Costa County (Lafayette ??) in the 90s including vouchers collected for MVZ.
Then there was a massive die off (which included many turtles), and no verified vouchers since, but there have been a few sighting reports indicating some may have survived the die-off (thought to be a disease). I contacted the water district last year to ask if I could look, and they responded that request to handle any herps w/o scientific collection permit would be rejected, and that while I was welcome to visit the reservoir, leaving the designated trails would be strictly forbidden (except if I was on a boat in designated boating areas).

2.5, actually. Pond turtles and desert tortoises are the locals. Sea turtles are technically not introduced because they got here on their own, but the ones I saw are only hanging out due to an artificially created environment (warm outflow from a power plant).

The two species of softshell, two species of map turtle, two subspecies of pond slider, and snapping turtle were all introduced. I'm hoping to locate introduced painted turtles this year as well.

I had read about that population before, but didn't know there was a chance they were still around. Not the best news. There will be an effort to eliminate the southern watersnake population down here this year.

Maybe a good compromise would be California natives found in other states but invasives to CA have to be found here for the list.
I'll go with that, and add a couple to mine (Rana aurora and T e vagrans)

That's how I do it. I have CA natives from other states (Washington Zonata) listed, as well as invasives found IN California.
